What did you have to drink during your Glucose Tolerance Test?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and have my glucose test tomorrow (1 hour), my stomach is pretty sensitive these days and i was wondering what they gave you to drink during it? Also did you have to fast before? Thanks

They had me drink some kind of orange soda.
It was a bottle of some kind of orange soda. I had to fast 12 hours before the test and they don’t want you to eat anything after you drink it for an hour. It will ruin the test.

I had lots of water afterwards because at that stage of pregnancy I couldn’t stand sweet stuff
You don’t have to fast, just after you drink it you r no allowed to eat anything

I had to drink a powdered beverage similar to Tang, only far less flavorful. I don’t recall having to fast. Actually, you drink the stuff and they then test you about an hour later. My doctor had me drink it before coming to my appointment. It wasn’t that bad. Just bland.
A bottle of stuff that tastes like flat orange soda. It’s easier to take if its very cold. Drink it as quickly as possible. I don’t remember fasting before the tests.
I had to drink a very sweet orange drink (similar to orange pop). Yes, I did have to fast for 8 hours prior to the test.
its a very sweet liquid that you have to drink
i admit that when i took this test i hated drinking the glucose it was so sweet

I have my glucose test in a couple of weeks at 8:30 am. They told me to eat a normal breakfast beforehand, just nothing super sugary like pancakes or soda. Make sure to check with your doctor though!
I had this fruit punch type drink. I got it down but it came right back up. So next visit he told me to bring a bag of Brach’s jellybeans and eat 19 of those while I’m there and they tested me off of that.
